The Moustache Machine

As a testament to my fascination with mustaches, here is a photo of a mixed-media piece I made in 2003, "The Moustache Machine." It won "Best Use of Space" at DCAC's 1460Wallmountables show in July, 2003!

Here's how it works: You stand several feet back from the Moustache Machine. With one eye closed, look into the mirror at your reflection near one of the mustaches. Voilà! You get to try on a variety of 'staches.

And with the "Make Your Own Moustache Bar," (scissors, double-stick tape and black construction paper), you can "[f]eel like a man" and "[t]ry one on today!"

UPDATE:
I just saw the April/May 2006 issue of Readymade, and there is a project entitled "Mustache Mirror." OMG. I am flipping out.
